Will I get tons of SPAM after signing up?
No. This website will not share your email addresses with any third parties. Heck, we hate SPAM to and wouldn't do that to our bloggers.

If I join, am I obligated to blog every day?
Not at all, however, that would be great if you did. This blog is meant for fans to talk hockey...during the season, playoffs, offseason...whenever they want.

What's up with the points and ranking?
Like most online communities, this blog awards participation in the form of rank. The more you blog, the more points you get, the faster your ranking improves. As for the points, they are awarded to a blogger after a post is submitted. Instead of simply counting the number of posts submitted, an algorithm is used to determine the points accrued by a blogger. This approach is meant to deter people from gaming the system (e.g. posting 100 - one word posts).

Can I blog about other teams?
Yes and No. If you're blogging about the Red Wings and how their winning streak is impacting the Chicago Blackhawks, then that is fine. However, if you're blogging about yesterday's Caps vs Pens game and it has nothing to do with the Blackhawks, then that is not okay. This blog is meant for Chicago Blackhawks fans and their team.

What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, you can retreive it here as long as you remember your email address that is currently on file.

Can I edit a post once I've submitted it?
Yes. All bloggers are able to edit their posts even after they've been submitted.

Why are some of the words in my post being replaced with asterisks?
Well, if you're seeing some of your words replaced with asterisks (*), then it is probably a "bad word" and has been picked up by our filter. Some bloggers may be as young as 13 on this site and we try to ensure that all content on this site is safe for everyone to consume. With that said, if the filter has made a mistake and filtered out something that you don't think is a "bad word", then shoot us an email via our contact form. The filter is relatively lenient as to not censor words that aren't really "bad".

Can I advertise on this website?
Yes and No. Bloggers are not allowed to advertise within their blog posts. However, if you're interested in advertising elsewhere on the site, please shoot us an email via our contact form.
